PALM COAST, Fla. -

An 18-year-old Flagler County student was shocked with a stun gun Monday morning after he allegedly beat another schoolmate and punched a deputy in the face, officials said.

Allen Brown, of Palm Coast, who attends Matanzas High School, was arrested on charges of battery, battery on a law enforcement officer and disruption of a school function.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, School Resource Deputy John Landi was in the cafeteria when Brown entered and took his shirt off.  Landi said Brown walked up to a 15-year-old boy who was eating breakfast and punched him repeatedly.

School administrators and Landi separated the students, but Brown took a fighting stance and punched the deputy repeatedly, striking him in the face and knocking him to the ground, the Sheriff's Office said.

The deputy then deployed his Taser, striking Brown in the left torso, said officials, who added that Brown was then secured without further incident.

All parties involved sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene medical personnel.
