Police in New York nabbed a suspected burglar who was caught hiding in a clothes dryer.

Authorities in New Rochelle responded to a burglary alarm at the home of Aaron and Gwen Stone on Wednesday, locking down the neighborhood after spotting someone inside, New York TV station WABC reported.

Gabriel Perez-Majia, 19, refused numerous requests to surrender and hid in the clothes dryer as SWAT teams stormed the home, police said.

Trouble is, he left a trail of blood from a cut he suffered while trying to escape through a window, making it easy for police and a police dog named Tank to track him down, The Journal News reported.

Officers found the home ransacked, with cash, an expensive camera and other loot piled near a window.

Neither of the homeowners, nor their two children, were home at the time.

Perez-Majia was employed by the family's landscaper, according to WABC.
