Donated thrift store item prompts suspicious package investigation

APOPKA, Fla. -

A portion of South Orange Blossom Trail in Apopka was shut down and a building evacuated Friday afternoon after a report of a suspicious package.

Apopka police said Second Home Store thrift shop at 770 S. Orange Blossom Trail was evacuated after a suspicious item was donated. It's not clear what the suspicious item was.

A southbound portion of South Orange Blossom Trail was also shut down. It has since been reopened.
