Publix cleared in Kissimmee after suspicious package report

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -

A suspicious package forced officials to evacuate a Publix in Kissimmee.

The grocery store, located at 1910 N. John Young Parkway, was evacuated Friday morning.

"Suspicious package at Publix at 1910 N. JYP. The store has been evacuated. No one hurt. Bomb Squad on the way to check it out," Kissimmee police tweeted.

About two hours later, Kissimmee police said the scene was cleared and the suspicious package was a leather case containing a DVR package, a light switch and a temperature control for an air conditioning unit.
