ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -

Orange County deputies say they're searching for the man who they say was hiding in the bushes before he grabbed a 17-year-old girl, forced her to the ground and attempted to rape her.

Deputies said the incident occurred at around 9 p.m. Sunday on Pompeii Road and Redditt Road in Orange County, just east of Semoran Boulevard.

The teen was walking and talking on her cellphone when the man came up from behind her and threw her to the ground, according to the report.

Deputies said the teen was able to scream and kick the man away. She ran to a neighbor's home and called 911.

She was not injured.

Deputies said they don't have a good description of the man, only that he was a man in his early 20s.
