PINE HILLS, Fla. -

A 15-year-old boy who was shot while riding his bicycle in Pine Hills has been identified.

Onardo Bent, who attended Oak Ridge High School, was shot around 9:30 a.m. Saturday near Leprechaun Way in Orange County.

The teen, an honors student, arrived at his uncle's home, where he was going to play basketball, after being shot in the torso, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they found the teen unconscious in the living room, and the uncle told officials that his nephew was not able to give him any information about the shooting.

Deputies said Bent was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center. OCSO previously said that Bent was killed in the shooting, but Local 6 has since learned that information is incorrect.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
