ORLANDO, Fla. -

Orlando police are investigating an accident that left one teen dead and another injured early Saturday morning.

Police were called to the accident around 2:45 a.m. Saturday after a driver of a pickup truck struck two pedestrians at West Sand Lake and East Perimeter Roads.

Police said the driver, 51-year-old Curtis Johnson, hit 15-year-old Jahaile Isaac and 16-year-old Jachkere Isaac as they were walking in the left lane along the center lane marker line.

Johnson stopped and tried to help the teens before ambulances could arrive, police said.

Jachkere was taken to a local hospital where police said he was later pronounced dead.

Police said there were not charges filed and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
