ORLANDO, Fla. -

If you're looking for a place to store the screws in your garage or the shoes in your closet, The Container Store has a place for everything and it's celebrating its grand opening in Orlando on Saturday.

The store, located at 4088 Millenia Blvd, is something of a phenomenon with its passionate fans, some of whom came to the door on Friday not realizing the store doesn't open until Saturday.

"I'm really into putting things into containers, knowing where they're at," said Sandy Davis.

The 24,000-square foot store promises to organize Orlando.

"Lets tackle the kitchen first, then lets move to the closet, then lets move to the garage, and that really helps you to lay out in your mind what you need to do, and we do have a solution for everything," said Joanna Long, Store Manager.

Long says more than 1,700 people applied to work at the Orlando store, and 53 employees were hired.

"We found who we think are the very best team for the job," she said.

Shirley Wetherald drove from Winter Haven to visit the store.

"I mean, it's amazing, I love it, I love it, especially because I'm very picky and very organized," she said.

"I have a new home in Windermere, and I want to buy stuff, get organized," said Julia Lorenc.
