Several people were injured when a vehicle crashed into an Orlando restaurant, officials say.

ORLANDO, Fla. -

A vehicle crashed into a Popeyes restaurant in Orlando, injuring at least four people, according to fire officials.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. Monday at the Popeyes at 5245 Colonial Drive. Troopers said a Lynx vanpool was driving on westbound Colonial Drive and ran a red light, hitting another vehicle and crashing into the restaurant.

The car struck a woman and a child, both of whom were taken to the hospital, along with the drivers. It's not clear what their conditions are.

Two others were treated on scene.

Lynx tells Local 6 they own the car involved and that drivers pay a monthly fee to use the vehicle.

No other details were immediately known.
