Deputies are searching for clues after a woman discovers the body of her roommate inside their Orlando apartment.

ORLANDO, Fla. -

A woman discovered the body of her roommate late Tuesday inside their Orlando apartment, and deputies are searching for clues in the man's death.

The woman found the body of her 46-year-old roommate, who had been shot, inside their home at the Dunwoodie Place Apartments near Interstate 4 and South John Young Parkway.  His death is being investigated as a homicide.

According to Orange County Sheriff's investigators, the woman returned home around 11 p.m. and found the man dead.  His name has not been released.

Deputies said they believe the man was targeted because there was no forced entry into the home and nothing was stolen.

"We don't know exactly who were looking for," an investigator said.  "There's no indication at this point to believe that it's a random act ... it's probably someone the victim knew."

Investigators continue to search for clues.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
