ORLANDO, Fla. -

Orange County deputies have identified on Thursday the 18-year-old woman who was shot and killed at an apartment complex near the Florida Mall on New Year's Day.

Alliyah Rivera was shot just after 4 p.m. Wednesday on at the Las Palmas Apartment Voltaire Drive off of Sand Lake Road.

Authorities said another man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Deputies said Rivera and the other man shot were not residents of Las Palmas.

Deputies said they believe there is one suspect and he is still at large. No information on the suspect's description was immediately available and it's not clear what the relationship between the suspect and Rivera was.

Local 6 obtained cell phone video showing deputies moving in with guns drawn after the shooting at the back of Las Palmas apartments.

Neighbors said they heard between two and four shots.

"I don't come out. You never know what could happen," said Ayde Guzman, who heard the gunshots, thought they were fireworks, but stayed inside just in case.

In an area where gunshots are common, neighbors don't want to get involved, especially when deputies have not caught the killer.

"They're probably still out there. You don't know who it could be so what can we do but stay in the house and stay out of trouble," said Guzman.

One neighbor said he heard the shots, looked out the window and saw a woman slumped over in a red car being driven away.

Deputies are still interviewing witnesses and need more to come forward or call Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS.
