Woman pistol-whipped in traffic incident, Orlando police say

ORLANDO, Fla. -

Orlando police are investigating a traffic incident after they say a woman was pistol-whipped near the Orlando Premium Outlets on International Drive.

Police said the incident occurred at Oak Ridge Road and International Drive on Thursday afternoon.

Police said they first responded to a call that a pedestrian was hit by a car at Oak Ridge Road and International Drive and another call that someone had been shot at the same location.

The woman who was pistol-whipped was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other person involved, who may be a suspect, left the area in a vehicle.

No other information was immediately available as the investigation continues.
