Brian Hoyer looked sharp and rookie Johnnie Manziel connected for a touchdown as the Cleveland Browns rolled past the Chicago Bears 33-13 on Thursday night at First Energy Stadium.

Hoyer went 6-for-8 and looked confident as he drove the Browns to a first-quarter score. But all eyes were on Manziel as he took over. In the second quarter, he led the Browns on a five-play 80-yard drive, which was capped by a one-yard TD pass to Jim Dray.

Manziel finished 6 of 17 for 83 yards and no interceptions. He also rushed four times for 55 yards.

Chargers 12, Cardinals 9

San Diego amassed more than 340 yards of total offense; Arizona didn't even reach 100 yards of total offense. But neither team could score a touchdown in their final game of the preseason at Qualcomm Park.

Nick Novak booted four field goals with the game-winning kick coming from 37 yards out at the 2:32 mark of the fourth quarter. His Arizona counterpart, Chandler Catanzaro kicked three field goals.

San Francisco fell behind 6-0 before scoring 24 straight points in a rout of Houston at NRG Stadium. The 49ers scored on offense, defense and special teams.

Josh Johnson threw three touchdowns and Blaine Gabbert threw for one. Rookie linebacker Chris Borland returned an interception 34 yards for another score and Kassim Osgood blocked a punt out of bounds for a safety.

Broncos 27, Cowboys 3

Kapri Bibbs ran for two scores and C.J. Anderson another as Denver romped past Dallas at AT&T Stadium. Brock Osweiler got the start for the Broncos at quarterback. He led the Broncos on four scoring drives as he prepares for another season as Peyton Manning's understudy.

Dallas was able to muster only 165 total yards with Brandon Weeden and Dustin Vaughn filling in for Tony Romo. Their only points came on a Dan Bailey 23-yard field goal in the second quarter.

Ravens 22, Saints 13

Justin Tucker kicked five field goals to lead Baltimore over New Orleans at Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Tucker's kicks came from 36, 27, 45, 32 and 24 yards. Fitz Toussaint and Lorenzo Taliferro combined to rush for more than 200 yards for the Ravens.

New Orleans scored its only touchdown on a 3-yard pass from Luke McCown to Travaris Cadet.

Vikings 19, Titans 3

Rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater threw a first-quarter touchdown to Adam Thielen and Blair Walsh made four field goals as Minnesota dominated Tennessee at LP Field. Bridgewater started and one-time starter Christian Ponder relieved the first-year player out of Louisville.

Zach Mettenberger got the start for Tennessee and completed 12 of 17 passes for 154 yards.

Packers 34, Chiefs 14

Green Bay scored early and often as the offense was clicking on all cylinders in a victory over Kansas City at Lambeau Field. The Packers scored every time they touched the ball until the final two minutes of the second quarter as they jumped out to a 20-7 halftime lead.

Quarterback Matt Flynn was 7 of 15 for 102 yards and two touchdowns. His backup, Scott Tolzien, was 12-for-18 for 139 yards and two more scores. The Chiefs scored when Tyler Bray found Richard Gordon in the end zone late in the second quarter to make the score 20-7.

Eagles 37, Jets 7

Giants 16, Patriots 13

Josh Brown's third field goal of the game, a 37-yard field goal with 38 seconds remaining in the game gave New York the win over New England at MetLife Stadium. Brown also was good from 45 yards out earlier in the fourth quarter.

Jimmy Garoppolo went the distance for the Patriots and completed 22 of 42 passes including a touchdown strike to Aaron Dobson. Eli Manning got the start for the Giants and went 1-for-4 in limited action.

Redskins 24, Buccaneers 10

Colt McCoy went 22-for-29 for 321 yards and two touchdowns as Washington defeated Tampa Bay at Raymond James Stadium. McCoy and running back Lache Seastrunk hooked up for an 80-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, the biggest play of the game. Washington running back Silas Redd punctuated a 79-yard day with a 1-yard touchdown dash with 4:07 left in the game.

The Buccaneers managed their lone touchdown with 3:51 left in the third quarter, when third-string quarterback Mike Kafka found receiver Solomon Patton for a 25-yard scoring strike.

Panthers 10, Steelers 0

Third-stringer Joe Webb, the last healthy quarterback on the roster, led Carolina on the game's only touchdown drive as the Panthers blanked Pittsburgh at Heinz Field.

The Panthers drove 90 yards in six plays for the lone TD, a 2-yard run by running back Fozzy Whitaker with 6:24 left in the third quarter, putting Carolina in front, 10-0. The score came one play after a 53-yard pass from Webb to wide receiver Philly Brown.

Dolphins 14, Rams 13

Miami spotted St. Louis 13 first-half points but scored the game's final 14 in a lackluster affair at Sun Life Stadium. Caleb Sturgis' extra point after a Seth Lobato touchdown pass to Matt Hazel was the difference in the game.

The Rams discovered what life will be like this season without Sam Bradford, who is out for the season after tearing his ACL last week. Austin Pettis hauled in an 11-yard TD pass from Austin Davis, while kicker Greg Zeurlein made field goals from 49 and 53 yards to account for the Rams' scoring.

Lions 23, Bills 0

Detroit's backups were a lot better than Buffalo's starters and the Bills' backups in the final preseason game for both teams. Lions' quarterback Kellen Moore tossed two touchdown passes and the Detroit defense held the Bills to 108 yards passing and less than 60 on the ground.

Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins reaggravated a rib injury during the first quarter when he was hit by Lions linebacker Ashlee Parker after an incomplete pass. Watkins walked slowly to the sideline and was examined by team doctors before he was escorted by the medical staff to the locker room. He did not return to action.

Bengals 35, Colts 7

Cincinnati jumped out to a 28-0 lead thanks to a special-team touchdown and a defensive score, and cruised to an easy win over Indianapolis at Paul Brown Stadium.

Wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher made a case for making the final roster with a 77-yard punt return for a touchdown early in the third quarter. On the Colts' third offensive play after the return, Danieal Manning stepped in front of a Chandler Harnish pass and returned it 33 yards for another score.

Falcons 24, Jaguars 14

On the first play of the second quarter, Jaguars rookie quarterback Blake Bortles connected on a 57-yard touchdown pass to fellow rookie, wide receiver Marquise Lee.

Raiders 41, Seahawks 31

Raiders starting quarterback Matt Schaub sat out due to a sore elbow. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson shined in a cameo appearance, completing all three of his passes for 77 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown pass to tight end Luke Willson.
