Jayson Werth was charged with reckless driving after being pulled over July 6 for going 105 mph in a 55-mph zone.

The Washington Nationals outfielder and fan favorite had the hearing in the matter continued until Nov. 12. The incident took place in Fairfax County, Virginia, based on court documents.

Werth is day-to-day with right shoulder inflammation. He is hitting .279 with 12 home runs and 63 RBIs.

Werth signed a seven-year, $126 million deal in December 2010 after a career season with the Philadelphia Phillies.

"The Washington Nationals have been in communication with right fielder Jayson Werth regarding this situation for multiple weeks," the Nationals said in a statement. "Jayson is cooperating with the authorities. As it is an ongoing legal matter, the team has no further comment."
