ORLANDO, Fla. -

Orlando City Soccer Club announced its 2014 USL PRO schedule Thursday, and it touts the most Saturday home games in club history.

This will be the final USL PRO season for the team, as the Lions will prepare to enter Major League Soccer next year.

The season-opening game is slated for March 22 in South Carolina, where the Lions will take on the Charleston Battery at Blackbaud Stadium. A three-game stint at home follows the Lions’ return from Charleston, with the home opener against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on March 29.

All home games kick-off at 7:30 p.m. and will be played at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort, which will serve as a one-year home until the team enters the major leagues.

New competitors include Sacramento Republic FC and the Oklahoma City Energy. Other season highlights include a match against USL PRO club LA Galaxy II and the regular-season finale versus the Richmond Kickers — last year’s regular season champion.

Additional seating will be added to the stadium to reach a capacity of 5,200, making it one of the largest soccer venues in Central Florida, according to a release from Orlando City Soccer Club.

Season tickets for 2014 are still available, and parking at the game venue is free.

Fans who want to ensure tickets to the 2015 MLS season must purchase 2014 tickets to reserve a spot, and tickets include the 14-game home schedule as well as an unannounced U.S. Open Cup match.
