Chilly weather kicks off day in Central Florida

Troy Bridges' forecast for Central Florida.

ORLANDO, Fla. -

The front that moved through Central Florida on Thursday is bringing drier and cooler air to the region.

Some parts of Central Florida started the day in the 40s.  Temperatures will warm up, however, with Orlando's high reaching the mid-70s on Friday.

The average high is 73.

"Expect a few showers along the coast into the afternoon," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

High temperatures will be in the low 80s for the weekend, with rain chances increasing to 40 percent on Sunday.
