Cold weather is coming to Central Florida starting on Wednesday.
A cold front is expected to begin lowering temperatures to the upper 60s by Tuesday evening. The cold front will pass over Orlando just before dawn on Wednesday.
"That means colder air and some wicked wind on the way," said Local 6 Chief Meteorologist Tom Sorrells.
A Gale Warning has been issued for the coastal areas, and a Lake Wind Advisory has been issued for Flagler County.
Temperatures will drop to the mid 60s overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday and aren't expected to rebound much during the day. This will be the coldest air of the season so far, with temperatures starting in the 60s and dropping in the afternoon, Sorrells said.
Central Floridians can look for an overnight low of 54 degrees between Wednesday and Thursday.
As the front comes through Tuesday night, there may be a few showers, but otherwise just wind and cooler temperatures.
Thursday the high will be back in the upper 70s, and Friday will have a high of about 80. The weekend looks much warmer, with highs in the low 80s both days with a 30 percent chance of rain.
