ORLANDO, Fla. -

After months of sweltering heat in Central Florida, a cooldown that many have been craving arrives this week.

High temperatures will reach 90 degrees in the Orlando area on Monday, but cooler air moves in later in the week when highs will be near 80.

"A front brings off-and-on rain chances at 30 percent on Monday and 40 percent chances Tuesday and Wednesday," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

The high on Tuesday across Central Florida will again be near 90, with overnight lows near 70 degrees.  The average high temperature is 84 degrees.

Drier air moves in by Thursday, dropping highs to near 80 degrees and lows into the lower 60s.
