Funnel cloud spotted in Brevard County

A Local 6 viewer in Port St. John sent in this picture of the funnel cloud in Brevard County on Friday.

TITUSVILLE, Fla. -

Weather spotters reported a funnel cloud Friday afternoon in Brevard County, according to the National Weather Service.

The cloud was seen over the Indian River not far from State Road 405 near Titusville.

The NWS said Doppler radar indicated a shower in the vicinity with little movement.

Funnel clouds occasionally touch down and produce small tornadoes, the NWS said.
