After a soggy weekend in Central Florida, rain chances come to an end.

ORLANDO, Fla. -

After a wet Sunday, rain chances come to an end in Central Florida.

The forecast for Monday in Orlando is partly sunny with a high of 73 degrees.  The average high is 71.

"The front that brought rain through the weekend pushed into South Florida," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "Drier north winds move into the mid-levels of the atmosphere."

Tuesday's high will be 71 degrees, with temperatures dropping into the mid-50s for New Year's Eve.

"Rain chances return on New Year's Day to 40 percent with highs in the low 70s," Bridges said.

Rain chances increase to 50 percent on Thursday.
