Slightly cooler temperatures invade Central Florida

Central Florida saw a cooler start this morning, but how long will it last?

ORLANDO, Fla. -

Drier air dipping into Central Florida means a cooler start Wednesday and not as much heat into the afternoon.

Highs will reach 78 degrees in Orlando on Wednesday.  The average high temperature is 74.

"For the first part of the week, temperatures were in the mid-80s, near records-highs," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. 

Rain chances will be at 20 percent for Wednesday and Thursday, Bridges said.

Overnight lows for the rest of the week range from the mid-50s to the low 60s.

High temperatures warm into the 80s for the weekend, with rain chances at 40 percent by Sunday.
